It's pretty exciting to write a report after not writing one for so long.

Then she climbed on the table to disturb me.
And when I returned from the kitchen to get a drink,

she warmed my seat for me =)

Current update: Done everything but my report.

ShuWen: I don't want you.

Reckhane: Why you don't want me?

ShuWen:I want Fan Yu

Reckhane: What?! You want that botak boy ah?

The Penang Trip

So my dad drove us down to Penang to attend the funeral.

Dizzie-body

We went to the funeral twice, the second time to see my widowed grand aunt who lost her appetite. I so understand how she feels. Not that I've lost a husband before but I know how it feels losing someone so important to you.

Dad and mum together on the beach. Rare picture.
The last time I saw them together in a picture was their wedding ones =P

Took a picture of 'footsteps and pawprints' because it reminded me of my previous pets campaign.
And how often do you see paw prints on sand, eh? =)

And so... after not being in Penang for almost 2 years, I had to eat Penang food.
The food's coming. I just wanted to show you pretending to be how surprised I was.

I saw a seashell!
Can you see how small my feet are?
It shows how tall I actually am =D

Oh yeah, the food. Dad brought us to the hawker stalls where locals dine.
Had loads to eat. The three of us ate like there's no tomorrow.

'Kway Chap'

'Char Kueh Teow with Hare Ko'

'Tung Ku Kai Keok without the tungku'

So satisfying, never felt happier =)

Sorry la, I know they're all empty plates.
I only remembered you guys after I makan-ed =P

Granduncle Went Byebye

this afternoon.

It kinda saddens me that the 8th granduncle whom I respected the most lost the battle to cancer.
He and his family were like'there' supporting my gramma mentally and financially.
And now he's gone.
Condolences to his family. It must be a trying time for them.

I know it's weird to be upset over a distant family's passing, but the thing is, I grew up with my gramma's sisters and their husbands when I was in Penang. They never cease to pamper me despite being the 'grandDAUGHTER', especially when they still have the conservative way of thinking.

Tenji

's Japanese buffet at Soho KL is absolutely delicious.

For about a hundred ringgit per pax,
Imagine having free flow of
Takoyaki
Thai coconut
Haagen Daaz
Baskin Robins
Carlsberg
Steamed cod
Ice blended fruit juice
Chawan Mushi
Jellyfish
more fish
chicken
and all those Japanese food

*drools*

So yeah, my cousin's mum paid for the meal. Mainly it's because of her 21's birthday.

I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant.
The next time I go again, I'll sit outside instead and watch the pretty lights of the KL skyline =)

p/s: Happy 21st, Ice!

A Hak-Kuai

was standing at the counter at Speedmart99, Puchong when my cuzzie, Leah and I went in.

We headed directly for the:

potato chips section

and we minded our own business and chatted like how normal chatters chat.

then I saw him pretending to look for stuff padahal he was walking at the end of every aisle to search for Leah and I. I'm so positive because I can read certain body languages, and I had a strong feeling he was out to get us.

Trying not to scare my cousin, I did not warn her, which I should have.

Suddenly, while explaining some big plans I had for my cousin's NIE project, I heard a strong accent which somewhat sounded like an 'excuse me'.

Shocked, I didn't know whether to be polite and smile and walk away, or be extremely rude and completely ignore that person. I chose neither.

I spoke to my cousin in Hokkien, saying "pretend we don't speak and understand English". Luckily the banana of a cousin understood that simple sentence. Then we calmly walked the opposite direction with shaking legs.

It was either we make a dash and run back to the art studio, or to call my aunt. I did the latter.
My aunt stomped her way to Speedmart with my other cousin and the art studio's kakak and the 3 of them barged into the store.

Hands on her hips she scanned through every single aisle to look for that person.

I quickly grabbed my chips and as I paid my aunt turned her back against me. She apparently saw the black guy peeping at the whole group of us.

One thing I learnt from this experience:
I'm not being a stereotype, but a lot of African people like fat girls. I got the hint. Thanks.
